The Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (AZGOHS) has awarded the Marana Police Department with $25,000 in grant funding to purchase a TOPCON Global Positioning Satellite collision scene measuring system. This new system will be extremely beneficial in collision investigation and will assist officers in providing a quality work product in an expedient manner. This system will allow officers to professionally investigate, measure, and diagram fatal and serious injury collisions. This will replace an aging system that we now possess This system will also allow officers to complete their investigations more swiftly causing less traffic congestion and inconvenience to the motoring public. The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety and the Marana Police Department are working together to help make our roadways safer for everyone.
